This was made for a world-building project I've been working on. It depicts a row of impossibly tall telephone polls with houses built onto the sides of them, towering over the landscape around them. The inspiration for this was, that I drove past a large electric pole, and from my perspective, the wires looked like they could be way further than they actually were, since there was nothing but the blue sky behind them I had no perception of how far they were. So I began to think about what the countryside would look like in a futuristic society, where energy would be transported across long distances with these large electric poles. I then came up with the idea of people who would use these cables that would be 5 to 10 feet in diameter as a sort of highway to get in and out of the big cities without people knowing.
