This is one of three book covers I made for a school project. I was to make covers for three books from three different authors as a set. I decided a more modern minimalist design would fit this well, and I chose thematic and complimentary colors. Each book has a quote on the back that I got online.
This is a cover for the book "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" by C. S. Lewis.
I believe this to be the best of the three. The cover has a lamppost from when the main character Lucy first enters Narnia. I chose this color of yellow for the cover as gold accents are prominent in the movie.

This is a cover for the book "Moby Dick" By Herman Melville. I chose a dark blue background for the deep blue of the ocean. There is the tail of a whale spanning the back and front of the book cover.
Notes
This is my least favorite of the trio, The background color is far too dark, and you cannot make out Herman Melville's name on the cover below the title. Lastly, It's not easy to tell it's a whale tail unless you have the book open.

This is a cover for the book "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley. The cover has a silhouette of Frankenstein's monster in "Bride of Frankenstein."
Notes
While I like the design I came up with, it has some issues. Namely, Frankenstein's shoulder is cut off. Additionally, like with The Moby Dick cover, The background color is too dark and is less readable than it could be.
